Congratulations to our students who achieved two of the top 10 places in the recent World of WearableArt Awards. The national finalists were:
Nyle Turuwhenua with entry: Tamahine a Papatuuaanuku
Ayla Stitchbury, Nyx Evitts, Lauren Hitchmough and Rowan Barnard with entry: Ace of Roses
Nyle was also awarded the following:
- Excellent Garment Construction Award and
- Best Interpretation of Design Brief (Aotearoa)
As top 10 placers, each design team have won a new Barina sewing machine.
This was the biggest year to date for WOW with over 225 entries from around the country.
