PHS offers debating to both junior and senior students. Although the juniors do not take part in competitive debates, this is still an opportunity for them to learn the ‘tricks of the trade’ and to become a member of the debate team in their senior years.
Our senior debate team takes part in debates every second Tuesday evening. Unfortunately, these are all taking place over Zoom at the moment, but our team is gaining amazing experience and improving with each and every debate.
To date, the team has taken part in 2 debates with the next one taking place on Tuesday 24 May 2022.
Our debate team last year won the Auckland Schools Octo-Finals.
