Thank you for all of the support and messages that we have received since the news broke on Saturday evening that PHS has had a staff member test positive for COVID-19. The staff member is recovering well and we have been in regular contact – thank you for the best wishes we have received for that person’s full recovery.
Thank you to everyone who managed to get tested on Sunday and the amazing turnout at testing stations from students and staff, despite the lengthy queues. We encourage all our community to continue to follow the requirement from Auckland Regional Public Health to get tested and to self-isolate.
We do realise this is not easy but by following the steps set down by ARPHS, each one of us is helping to keep ourselves and our community safe.
The pop up on the school’s website will be updated with information about testing centres in Pukekohe.
At this time, it’s even more important that we stay connected. This newsletter is one such way. On Sunday a PHS Facebook post was viewed 3,000 times in an hour. Your child’s Kaiāwhina and Kaitiaki Ākonga will be available for support should they need it.
Additionally, please contact one of our hardworking Learning Support Coordinators at any point – Jude Webber ([email protected]) and Esther Williams ([email protected]).
Please also reach out to one of our school counsellors at these email addresses – Sita Bakker ([email protected] ) , Eleanor Purchase ([email protected]) or Susan Walter ([email protected]).
